<image:caption>MIT MUSEUM Education staff at the MIT Museum created Sail Through Engineering, a hands-on student workshop exploring the engineering design process, to compliment their exhibit Lighter, Stronger, Faster: The Herreshoff Legacy. Seed/Ed partnered with their team to develop and implement a comprehensive evaluation of the ambitious program, collecting data and feedback to measure and refine intended learning outcomes and determine how best to accommodate the needs of a variety of student audiences.</image:caption>

<image:caption>HOUSATONIC HERITAGE Initially hired to develop a classroom curriculum highlighting local heritage resources, Seed/Ed sought input from local teachers resulting in the creation of a more useful resource: Housatonic Heritage’s Local Heritage Lab. Now in its fourth year, Local Heritage Lab is a year-long professional development program facilitated by Seed/Ed that provides teachers of all disciplines with opportunities to immerse themselves in personal learning at local heritage sites and a pedagogic framework for using landscapes, structures, artifacts, images, and documents to create the inquiry-focused lessons best-suited to their students’ needs.</image:caption>

<image:caption>DURANT-KENRICK HOUSE AND GROUNDS In 2011 Historic Newton began the restoration and reinterpretation of the Durant-Kenrick House, a 1734 historic house museum that explores the stories of the families who lived in the home over three centuries through period rooms, interactive media, and exhibits geared toward a family audience. Seed/Ed served as the project researcher and writer, collaborating with the curator and designer on all interpretive elements including exhibit text, audio scripts, and hands-on interactives.</image:caption>

<image:caption>MASSACHUSETTS HISTORICAL SOCIETY With its unparalleled collection and an already robust catalogue of educational offerings, the Massachusetts Historical Society sought to generate greater visibility and access to their resources for student and teacher audiences across the country. Seed/Ed surveyed the history and civics education landscape to identify key trends and best practices and gathered input from educators to inform program priorities, innovative strategies, staffing models, and funding opportunities to support the creation of the Center for the Teaching of History.</image:caption>
